Welcome to the Online Security Guard Basic Training for Ontario. Security is a rapidly growing and developing industry that plays a vital role in modern society. This program has been designed for prospective professionals looking to begin a fulfilling career in the security industry.

Upon the successful completion of this program, prospective Security Guards will have an understanding of the following: The Private Security and Investigative Services Act and the Code of Conduct, basic security procedures and emergency response preparation, report writing, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), the Canadian legal system and a Security Guard’s legal authority, the theory on the use of force, effective communications, and emergency first aid, if applicable.
